Damaris - Ink Trap Font
About
Damaris is a modern ink trap typeface built with clean proportions, bold geometric construction, and distinctive cut details. Its sharp internal notches give the letterforms a contemporary editorial personality while adding character without sacrificing readability.
Inspired by modernist typography, fashion editorials, Swiss-inspired layouts, and experimental graphic design, Damaris is designed for projects that need typography that feels sophisticated, structured, and visually distinctive.
Overview
Damaris combines a clean sans serif foundation with strategically placed ink trap details that create recognizable shapes and a strong graphic rhythm. Its uppercase characters feel bold and architectural, while the lowercase set offers a more restrained option for secondary typography.
The font is particularly effective for large headlines, logos, posters, magazine covers, packaging, campaigns, and minimalist branding systems.
Its monochrome-friendly construction also works beautifully with high-contrast photography, neutral layouts, metallic graphics, bold color blocking, and modern editorial compositions.
