Roundy Slaby - Slab Serif Bold
About
Roundy Slaby is a bold rounded slab serif typeface designed with chunky proportions, soft curves, and expressive serif details. Its friendly construction combines the strength of classic slab serif typography with a warmer, more playful personality.
Inspired by retro advertising, food and beverage branding, lifestyle graphics, and contemporary editorial design, Roundy Slaby is ideal for projects that need strong typography without feeling too rigid or formal.
Overview
Roundy Slaby combines substantial serif forms with rounded terminals and smooth curves. Its bold structure creates immediate visual impact, while the softer details keep the typeface approachable and versatile.
The font works especially well for large headlines, logos, packaging titles, restaurant branding, posters, editorial layouts, and product labels. Its rounded proportions also pair naturally with colorful palettes, vintage imagery, textured backgrounds, and retro-inspired layouts.
Use the standard characters for a clean display style, then explore the available alternates and ligatures for more distinctive wordmarks and compositions.
