Catrina Brincona - Muertos Font
About
Catrina Brincona is an expressive display typeface inspired by the vibrant visual culture of Día de Muertos, Mexican folk art, papel picado, decorated calaveras, floral ornaments, and traditional celebration graphics.
Its bold handcrafted shapes, irregular edges, and playful decorative personality create typography that feels festive, artistic, and full of character. Catrina Brincona is designed for projects that need a strong cultural-inspired display style with warmth, energy, and visual impact.
Overview
Catrina Brincona combines bold display lettering with organic handcrafted details influenced by traditional Mexican celebration graphics. Its irregular shapes and expressive terminals give headlines and titles an illustrated quality while remaining readable at display sizes.
The typeface works especially well for Día de Muertos celebrations, festival posters, restaurant branding, food packaging, event graphics, invitations, merchandise, and cultural-themed editorial layouts.
Pair Catrina Brincona with colorful flowers, calavera illustrations, papel picado patterns, dark backgrounds, orange, purple, turquoise, cream, and other festive color combinations to build a lively visual system.
