Letterpress textures for photoshop
About
Letterpress textures—This is a massive collection of photoshop textures and actions that simulate the old school letterpress ink print style. You will struggle to find a more comprehensive letterpress pack, this is huge at nearly 1gb.
Handmade letterpress relief printing
Everything in the pack has been printed by hand using a cast iron book binding press and an ink brayer.
The letterpress textures vary from heavy to light ink and everything in between. The pack also has a good selection of rough and distressed ink textures with plenty of grunge, scratches and lines.
You can mix any textures together to create an astonishing array of vintage printing styles.
Create vintage letterpress effects
It contains 30 main print textures that are all smart object ready and hi-resolution (3150 x 4498 @ 300 dpi). Just edit one smart object to see how your design looks with 30 different textures.
Combine those with the set of 19 actions, 10 grunge overlays and 10 paper textures and you will be creating vintage letterpress textures in no time.
Overprint ink effects
I've even included a layer set that simulates real overprint ink. So you can have two colours that overlap to create a third colour. In fact, you can have as many as you want.
What's in the pack
- 1 Photoshop file
- 30 main handmade print textures
- 19 Photoshop actions
- 10 Grunge ink overlays
- 10 Real paper samples
- Overprint ink layer setup
Rock and Roller
Just to clarify this is 1 photoshop file with 30 preset texture folders. Just drag and drop any artwork into the folder and the texture is applied—so it's really easy to use.
The included actions complement the textures by adding subtle (and not so subtle) effects.
Requirements
Photoshop CS6 and above. A basic working knowledge of adobe Photoshop but video tutorial is included.

About Simon Stratford
Hello, that's me or itsmesimon, aka Simon Stratford. I design everything from custom typefaces for advertising agencies to ready to buy fonts for designers (like you) to the occasional digital oil painting for TV and print.
I've spent over 20 years in the design industry, from teaching photoshop, web design, movie promotion, and branding agencies to digital marketing—I think I've done most jobs. I got tired of the rat race and the daily commute in London. So I stopped doing things I didn't what to do—and started doing things I did want to do—more creative things.

FAQs
- What are letterpress textures?
- A letterpress texture mimics the effect of traditional letterpress printing, where text and images are physically pressed into paper, creating a slightly debossed (indented) look with ink coverage variations. These textures add a vintage, handcrafted feel to digital and print designs.
