Post Serif, A single-weight slab serif that awakens fuzzy memories of snail mail. Drawn in the spirit of the vintage postcard typesettings slab-serifs with an updated touch.
NOTE: This typeface is a work in progress and is currently a single weight. Please download the free specimen at: https://jacobwaites.com/specimens/Post-Serif-Specimen.pdf before buying to make sure you will have all the glyphs you need. Future updates will be free for purchasers. The price of new licenses will increase with every update as Post Serif gains more weights.
More about the typeface: Post Serif is a slab serif typeface that is a tribute to postcards from the photocrom era, produced by predominantly Curt Teich & Company starting in 1939. Post Serif draws on the visual language of faces like Lubalin graph and other geometric slabs while staying more true to the monoline nature and lower x-height of the type found on the photocrom postcards– upgraded with special alternates that modernize the feel of the typeface overall.
