Sydney is lovely at a glance -- for names or 1 word titles - I find it difficult for anything more than 1 word & definitely not for 2-3 word phrases. Several characters run/slant together (not well kerned), if pt sz is under 12, then reading proves very difficult. Many (older) customers ask for "easier to read" fonts, yet elegant & stylish. I was hoping for better with Sydney. Customer wanted it, so I got it - & altho they've not seen a final proof yet, bc I'm still working on it, I hope it's not a total waste -- Many fonts today are SO VERY much alike - as is this to (Adelaide) from CM. Adelaide is similar enough, & much easier to read that if the customer doesn't like Sydney, I will suggest Adelaide. Sad I might have to keep it b/c (no refunds w/CM), & besides, I am still waiting to hear feedback from my customer. I did NOT share my opinion with them, allowing a few visual word samples to speak for themselves.
