Password Protect for Adobe Muse is a security widget which enables you to lock certain page(s) from your website or any other website. The Widget has tons of options to use. Either you're looking for to just enter a common password and login OR select the type of account and enter the password of that account and then login.

Installing and Using:

  1. Once you've Downloaded the widget, extract it to the desired location (Folder).
  2. Launch Adobe Muse.
  3. Navigate to the place extracted and double click on "Nakshatra - Password Protect v2.mulib".
  4. Head back to Adobe Muse, pull out Library panel (Window Menu - Library).
  5. In the Library Menu, you should find a folder named Nakshatra - Password Protect v2. Open the Folder.
  6. Once the folder is open, you'll see the widget named "Nakshatra - Password Protect v2 (Multi-user)" and "Nakshatra - Password Protect v2 (Single)". Click and Drag any one on the page.
  7. As soon as the widget is place on the page the widget options fly-out is open by default. Customize it.

How to Import the Widget into Adobe Muse?

1. Once you've Downloaded the widget, extract it to the desired location (Folder).
2. Launch Adobe Muse.
3. Navigate to the place extracted and double click on "Nakshatra - Password Protect v2.mulib".
4. Head back to Adobe Muse, pull out Library panel (Window Menu - Library).
5. In the Library Menu, you should find a folder named Nakshatra - Password Protect v2. Open the Folder.
6. Once the folder is open, you'll see the widget named "Nakshatra - Password Protect v2 (Multi-user)" and "Nakshatra - Password Protect v2 (Single)". Click and Drag any one on the page.
7. As soon as the widget is place on the page the widget options fly-out is open by default. Customize it.

How to Style the Widget?

1. Once you drag the Multi-User or Single User from the Library Panel to the page.
2. Open up the flyout panel, if its not open.
3. Styling of the element is found in their own respective sections. Like styling Password box has a section "PASSWORD BOX STYLE"
4. Twirl open the section, you'll see every option self-explanatory. With the states separated for Normal, Rollover and Focus state.

How to Add Custom Account Type Icons for Multi-User Password Protect?

1. Open the Images Folder included in the pack, which is named as “Images”.
You’ll find 10+1 Images.
2. Open Photoshop or any image editing application.
3. And now open account1.jpg in Photoshop. Customize and place your icon in the same image replacing the original.
4. Save the Files in Overwriting the Original. (Important: The Naming conventions should be same and file extension as jpg.)
5. Do the same for the Default account image. Open up blank.jpg in Photoshop, place your icon into the same image replacing the original and save it with the same name and extension.
6. Now that you’ve got your images setup. Open up the widget fly out options and under the General Style Option, add file to the “Default Account image” for which the file name is blank.jpg
7. In the Account 1 Image add file. Select the image with the name account1.jpg.
Do the same for all the other accounts giving their respective images like
• Account 2 Image = account2.jpg
• Account 3 Image = account3.jpg
• So on
8. After setting up the images. Preview the site in Browser.

Does the Widget have Database included?

No, The Widget provides a simple protection using jQuery. And note that People with Coding Knowledge can crack the Password.
