Moonspindle - Whimsy Font

Moonspindle my new whimsical display typeface with long curling strokes, angular little details, tiny stars, and a slightly mysterious storybook feeling. I wanted it to feel as though the letters belonged somewhere between an old fairy-tale book, a handwritten garden sign, and something found under moonlight.

The letterforms are intentionally playful and imperfect, with exaggerated descenders, curled terminals, narrow shapes, and unexpected decorative details throughout. It works beautifully when you want typography to become part of the illustration rather than simply sit on top of it.

Moonspindle comes in three versions, so you can move from a stronger statement to something delicate and airy:

Moonspindle — the original solid style, perfect for titles and readable display text. Moonspindle Outline — a decorative outlined version with more graphic presence. Moonspindle Outline Fine — a lighter, finer outline for delicate layouts and subtle details.

The family includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation, and symbols, making it useful for both short display pieces and longer whimsical compositions.

Moonspindle feels especially at home in children's books, fairy-tale projects, invitations, birthday designs, botanical artwork, packaging, posters, book covers, dreamy branding, stationery, scrapbook designs, cottage-inspired projects, and magical editorial layouts.

It can feel sweet and playful in soft pastels, strange and enchanting against darker photography, or beautifully nostalgic when paired with paper textures, flowers, illustrations, and grain.
