Petalwash - Watercolor Script Font
About
** Petalwash ** is a joined-up brush script that looks like it was written with a brush pen and a very watery pink.
I wanted a script that keeps its paint. A lot of watercolor fonts are flat shapes that you have to texture yourself. Here the wash is already in the letters: lighter in the middle of a stroke, darker where the pigment settles along the edge, and darker again where two strokes cross. You type, and it comes out pink.
There are three fonts in the pack:
-
Petalwash Color is the soft pink one.
-
Petalwash Red has the same letters in a loud red.
-
Petalwash is one colour, with the grain of the paint kept in the shapes. Use it when you want your own colour, or when an app can't show colour fonts.
The letters join by themselves, capitals included, so there is nothing to fix by hand. Downstrokes are heavy, upstrokes are thin, and the edges wobble a little on purpose.
What else is in there
-
4 tails for the ends of words and 2 lead-ins for the starts (Stylistic Sets 1 to 6)
-
6 ornaments: four underlines, a row of loops and a heart line
-
335 characters, with accents for Western, Central and Eastern European languages and Turkish
-
OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2 for all three fonts
-
