Mistlewire - Textured Script Font
About
Mistlewire is a hand-drawn connected script with a sketchy, re-traced line. Every stroke is drawn two or three times, so the hairlines drift apart and meet again. The edges carry a soft typewriter-ink texture, with slightly ragged lines and tiny ink specks, so your text looks written with a real pen on real paper.
The letters are tall and slender, leaning gently forward, with long looping tails. Every letter connects to the next one, capitals included, so each word flows as one continuous line. The joins happen automatically as you type: no glyph panel, no special characters. After letters like b, o, v and w, the next letter picks up the join from the top, the way real handwriting does. In all caps, the capitals switch to a clean version without the joining stroke.
Mistlewire comes in two weights:
-
Regular: airy, delicate hairlines.
-
Bold: a heavier pen, with the doubled lines still visible.
Use it for logos, branding, product labels and packaging, invitations, greeting cards, quotes, book covers, social media graphics, journals, signatures and monograms. It looks best at medium to large sizes, where the re-traced lines and the texture show.
