Liberte Hand Painted Font
About
Meet LIBERTÉ, an expressive hand-painted font inspired by the playful gestures of modernist artists, the poetic line drawings of Joan Miró and Jean Cocteau, and the beautifully imperfect nature of an artist's handwriting.
Loose, irregular and full of personality, LIBERTÉ celebrates the freedom of spontaneous mark-making. Bold, painterly brushstrokes sit alongside delicate, wandering lines, creating unexpected letterforms that feel lifted straight from an artist's sketchbook.
Drawing inspiration from handwritten ephemera and experimental typography, LIBERTÉ embraces the beauty of imperfection. Its uneven proportions, intuitive shapes and dramatic contrasts give each letter an expressive, almost illustrative quality — somewhere between handwriting, painting and drawing.
Featuring a selection of alternate characters LIBERTÉ invites you to mix, match and experiment with letterforms, bringing variation and individuality to every design.

PLEASE NOTE
LIBERTÉ is an intentionally irregular, hand-painted display font. Its uneven proportions, unconventional letterforms and expressive brushstrokes are all part of its character, celebrating the spontaneity of handmade typography.
For best results, LIBERTÉ is suited to short phrases, expressive headlines, artistic wordmarks and display typography rather than extended body text. It's also best kept at small sizes.
Accessing alternate characters requires compatible design software that supports OpenType alternates or a glyphs panel, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign. Not all software supports alternate character selection, so please check compatibility before purchasing.
Loose. Painterly. Poetic. Unconventional. Beautifully imperfect.
