About
Welcome to Galerie La Mess! This font takes me back to why I personally fell in love with handlettering - messy and bold handwritten quotes that transform words of inspiration into beautiful visual pieces. In addition to quotes and prints, Galerie La Mess would be ideal for logos and headings, and wherever big & bold lettering is needed!
For authentic handwritten variation, Galerie La Mess comes with a full set of lowercase alternates and 36 ligatures. If you use software that supports OpenType, all of this is included in the main font. If not, you will be able to access the alternates and ligatures with the provided Alt & Liga fonts.
The Regular version of Galerie La Mess has rough edges and slight texture, but for situations that call for clean lines, a Smooth version is also provided.
As a bonus to add that bit of extra to your design, you'll also receive a pack of
- 24 ink splatters
The splatters come a set of Photoshop brushes // PNG files (black on transparent background) // a splatter font (TTF only & no smooth version). The splatter font offers an easy cross-platform way to use the splatters in vector format - however please note that it is best used in design software and might not be very handy in regular software.
Multilingual support: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish. Language support includes accented versions of alternates & ligatures.

- How do I contact support?
For questions about this product, message the Shop Owner via their shop profile. For all other questions, like licensing or billing, visit our Help Center.
- How can I unzip product files?
PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.

- How do I install a font?
After you unzip your font product files, you will see .OTF or .TTF files. To install a font, just double click on the OTF or TTF file. For more information, check out our Font FAQ.
If you’re still having trouble installing the font, please contact the Shop Owner or Creative Market Support.
- What software do I need to use this font?
When a font is installed on your computer, it can be used with any program that allows you to create text. Fonts will work in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and almost any other program with a text editor. You can learn more in our Help Center about OTF special features and installing your new font.
Note: As an exception, OpenType SVG fonts / color fonts require Photoshop CC 18.0+, Illustrator CC 22.0.0+, or InDesign CC 13.0.1+. To learn more about installing color fonts, check out this Color Font FAQ.
