To update the table of contents:
- Change the category style in the respective pages
- Select the “Contents” text frame
- From the Layout menu choose “Update Layout Contents”
- Reformat slightly the entries to the desired style
- To use in Indesign prior to CC
- Go to File-Open and choose the .IDML file, Wait for Indesign to generate the document
- Save the Untitled document as .INDD
- Enjoy ;)
