Single Stroke | Retroset Typeface!
About
Freshly inked and dripping with mid-century soul, it's ••S I N G L E • S T R O K E•• — a lively retroset typeface from StudioWorks!
Sourced from the golden age of American commercial lettering, Single Stroke captures the raw energy of a brush hitting paper at full confidence. No second-guessing, no going back. Just one bold, fluid stroke that's all business.
Typical of the kind of lettering you'd find whisked across a 1950s diner window, painted on an amusement park ride or inked across a soda pop ad, Single Stroke is perfect for headlines, logos, signage and display use.
Here's what you get with Single Stroke:
-
Upper (A-Z) and lower case (a-z) characters
-
Numbers (0-9)
-
Standard punctuation and glyphs
-
OTF file format

Highly legible and endlessly versatile, Single Stroke is loose, fluid and dripping with personality.
NOTE: All featured designs use Single Stroke. The 'Hot 'n' Tot' ad also features the sans serif typeface Bluto. 'Chef's Special', 'Extra! Extra!' and 'Surprise' all feature seamless paper textures from Papertuity Volume 1. The 'Crowd' ad features an overlay texture from Crack, Crease and Fold Brush Kit.
