KALEIDOSCOPE | 12 High Resolution Luxury Rainbow Prism Overlays for Adobe Photoshop
Kaleidoscope was made from a love of light and texture. This overlay bundle of 12 PNG files was made to subtly enhance images or design projects in a natural and organic way.
Choose your blend mode in Photoshop (we have used Soft Light, Hard Light and Linear Light and love them all!) and play with this rainbow overlay bundle of PNG files. Use the full image overlay over your photo or design, crop in as much as you'd like, change the angle, exposure, or dodge and burn and play -- no two images will ever be the same.
**PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING: It's important to note that these PNG files are not entirely transparent, as they were made in-camera. You'll see that there is a gray background in the stand-alone product images above and this is what you will receive. Your original image may be altered once the prism overlay file is layered on top of it, since you're adding a layer of light streaks (the prism) and shadow (the gray background). The gray background may show up on certain original images more than others and the PNG only has one layer, which is the prism and the background combined. Once purchased, you are welcome to adjust the prisms/shadows in the PNG that fits your project to either lessen the shadows or increase the prism strength.

I'm a seasoned (15 years with Photoshop) but lazy graphic designer and was looking for a exactly this - a pre-made prism overlay. These really are beautiful and work seamlessly with the overlay blend mode on normal photographs without changing the contrast or any other settings. However, like the others mentioned, no matter how you adjust levels, curves, brightness, contrast, these aren't suitable for adding prisms on white backgrounds, which is exactly what I was going to use this for. I was able to get it to a very light grey, but I need it to be white. I'm sure I can find an easy tutorial online, since I already know how to make normal, overlay full rainbows, but again....lazy.
Very disappointed. This product is impossible to use as an overlay. Even when tinkering with the filters and brightness/contrast of the layer as the product description says, it darkens your photo and alters it so much that it's completely unusable. I will not be able to use these in my work, so it was wasted money. NOT USEFUL.
Hello Pamela and so sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience with Kaleidoscope! I'm wondering if you would be open to a conversation about how your Photoshop settings/how you are using the overlays, as they should not be darkening your image as much as you described. - How can I unzip product files?
PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.
