Turkish Ebru - Marble
About
The art of marbling has its own material and application features. All of the dyes are obtained from nature by natural methods. Tragacanth, which condenses the water, is the main ingredient of vegetable origin. The natural acid that allows the dyes to open on the tragacanth is the bile in the animal's gallbladder. Patterns created with dyes prepared with natural methods on water condensed with tragacanth are transferred to paper.
It was previously used to decorate written calligraphy pages and book bindings.
