Highwater - A Retro Display Font
About
While searching for inspiration for another project, I came across some vintage surfing magazine covers and loved the typography. I sketched out a few letters based on the elements I liked - bold shapes, subtle curves and personality galore - and after a while I really wanted to see what an entire alphabet might look like. The result is my newest font family: Highwater.
Highwater is a bold, retro style display typeface that finds its inspiration from vintage surf and skate magazines with a combination of bold style and a laid-back, easy-going vibe. You can add a little "extra" to your typography with the shadow styles for both Highwater Regular and Highwater Condensed when you really need to make your text stand out from the pack.
Whether you’re designing posters, book covers, or magazine headlines, Highwater is ideal for titles, headers, or any text that needs your audience's attention.
Highwater is a display typeface designed to be used for headline sizes and larger.
