How can I install my Visualmodo WordPress Theme?

You can follow the step 1. on your theme online documentation guide at https://visualmodo.com/documentation/ or simply open a ticket with our consumer support and ask for our team to install the theme onto your WordPress site, this is a free service that we made for all Visualmodo client's. We will upload your theme and all the premium plugin bundled with your theme.

This is very normal issue, you see this issue (error message) when try to upload the wrong file on your WordPress and did not follow the 1. step showed on your theme online documentation at https://visualmodo.com/docs/rare-wordpress-theme-documentation/When you purchase / download a theme you will download a big folder called 'themeMaster.zip' in this big master folder you will have other files, for example; - theme files - license - demo content - documentation - and you can't upload this directly on your site because it isn't unzipped. What you need to do? 1 - Open this themeMaster.zip folder. 2 - Once you open it you will need to click on the 'theme name‘ folder. 3 - Click on ‘Theme Files’ folder. 4 - Once in 'theme files' folder you will found 2 files; themeName.zip - themeNameChild.zip. The important now it your 'themename.zip' file. 5 - Select this 'themeName.zip' file and unzip it, extract it, drag this file and drop on your computer desktop. 6 - This is a ready-to-install on WordPress theme.zip file. 7 - Go to your WordPress dashboard panel > Appearance > Themes > Add new > Upload theme > Select your file 'themeName.zip' 8 - Upload / active and all done. I received this template as a CM freebie about 9 years ago. I decided to give it a ago recently since I saw they actually update the template and my site could use a refresh. As of the most recent download there is a bug causing a fatal error when I attempt to load it. I get this in my bug report: When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information: WordPress version 6.9 Active theme: Rare (version 5.0.0) Current plugin: (version ) PHP version 7.4.3-4ubuntu2.29 Error Details ============= An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 0 of the file /home/------/public_html/wp-content/themes/rare/vslmd/widgets/instagram-widget.php. Error message: Cannot declare class null_instagram_widget, because the name is already in use When contacting the company directly they wouldn't honor my license and help me. Instead they directed me to purchase from their site. They let me know there was a Black Friday 30% off coupon code to help.

A person received a product 9 years ago, FOR FREE, to use with the 9-year-old WordPress version. Want to install it in a 2026 version of WordPress (is that not obvious that it won't work?), and still believes they can demand support or a license for it. And the devs who worked on the product to keep it compatible and updated for all this time should not have their work rewarded.... It's because of people like this that we'll never ever offer any product for free again on Creative Market. Instead of a 'thank you', we got a bad review. But it's ok, I think every person offers what they can and what they have.
