Stockbridge Display Serif
About
Stockbridge is a tall display serif inspired by engraved lettering found on an 18th-century church in Leicester. Drawing from the precision and restraint of traditional stone carving, the typeface combines elegant proportions with a strong architectural presence. Its narrow structure and sharp detailing create a refined rhythm that feels equally suited to classic and contemporary design work.
Designed for impactful typography, Stockbridge works beautifully across branding, editorial layouts, packaging, logotypes, headlines, and luxury applications where character and sophistication are essential. The family balances quiet authority with decorative charm, making it ideal for projects that require a distinctive serif with a sense of heritage.
An alternate cut broadens the creative possibilities, introducing more expressive forms and ornamental details inspired by the flourishes of historic inscriptions. OpenType features include standard ligatures, discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates, and contextual substitutions, allowing designers to create richly detailed and highly customised typography with ease.
Whether used for elegant wordmarks, magazine mastheads, book covers, or atmospheric editorial titles, Stockbridge delivers a timeless display style shaped by craftsmanship, history, and careful attention to detail.
