Around 10 years ago I got all fired up after finding a really nice way to create fire effects in photoshop, and now I have my own little smoke and fire toolkit for sale. ===== Fire Effect with Gimp =====
If you want a fire effect with Gimp you can do the following:

Create a layer filled with black and use the smoke brush on it
Open the Gradients (Windows Dockable Dialogs Gradients)
Choose the flame-ish gradient "Incandescent"
While the layer with the smoke brush on it is selected, use "Colors Map Gradient Map"

How can I unzip product files?
