MY CREATION PROCESS: Drawing inspiration from a typographic treasure unearthed within the Library of Congress archives— an early 1900s manual for hand-painted signs — I embarked on a journey to craft a font that marries historical elegance with contemporary innovation. Named in homage to its original publisher, Thaddeus Davids (a fellow New York native and pioneer of the printing industry), this font is the fruit of meticulous digitization of vintage letterforms, enhanced with modern refinements and personal creative twists. Each character has been meticulously scanned, vectorized, rasterized & revectorized when needed, and perfected by myself, ensuring a seamless blend of past and present in this unique font family.
