  • Negative space is important to be aware of but it is almost never about hiding shapes or symbols in the negative space, unless you’re working on a fancy logo. By using the USA and FedEx logos to give an example of negative space, it confuses people into thinking that the negative space should contain its own message. Ironically, since graphic design is primarily about effective communication, I think that aspect of the infographic is badly designed. 10 years ago
