A New Chapter in Product Quality: Elevating Our Very Best

Since 2012, Creative Market has stood for open access, welcoming every shop to publish freely and share their perspective with the world. No daily limits. No per-product approvals. No friction.

That openness helped build the vibrant marketplace we know today. But somewhere along the way, an unintended side effect crept in: too much of everything, all at once. For buyers, that means more time scrolling and less time discovering. For shops, it means more competition without always more visibility.

This moment calls for a shift. One that respects your work, values your time, and brings more intention to how products show up. In alignment with our vision to become Destination Design, we are renewing our emphasis on catalog quality.

Starting soon, unsold product listings will expire after a set period, creating space for work that resonates today and helping the most relevant assets rise to the surface.

Here’s what’s changing (and what’s not):

No product will be deleted. No work lost. When a listing expires, it will quietly move to your Drafts. From there, you can refresh and relist it. Update the product name. Swap in better screenshots. Revisit your tags or descriptions.

Once relisted, your product will re-enter the marketplace as new, appearing in product feeds and gaining fresh exposure across the site.

Need help reworking listings? Start here:

  • Refine your product title and description to match buyer intent
  • Update visuals that better showcase your asset
  • Recheck tags to align with current search trends
  • Ensure file formats and instructions are compatible with today’s tools
  • Consider consolidating older listings into higher-value bundles

Why this matters for you and for the marketplace:

More visibility, less noise
Old listings tend to fall behind. By filtering what’s no longer serving buyers, we give active, current listings more room to be seen.

Better buyer experience

A more refined marketplace makes it easier for customers to find high-quality assets that match their needs. When search is more intuitive, discovery feels more meaningful, and leads to more engagement.

Stronger shop strategy
Refreshing listings gives you a reason to revisit your store’s lineup, refine your product catalog, and elevate what’s working. It’s also a good moment to build in seasonal updates, new thumbnails, or clearer previews that align with trends you’re seeing.

A more inspiring marketplace for all
This update helps us spotlight what’s working, draw in new customers through stronger search visibility, and ultimately build a marketplace that rewards relevance, intention, and care.

This is more than a cleanup: it’s a recommitment to product quality, and to the kind of experience that sets Creative Market apart. Your work deserves to be seen, not buried. This shift ensures that what shows up here reflects the thought, precision, and design intelligence that brought you to the platform in the first place.

We’re creating for you and with you, always.
