At Creative Market, our members and shop owners are the heart of what we do. Because without them, this unique marketplace wouldn’t exist. To make sure that everything’s in order, our support team addresses problems that users face and finds the perfect solution to save the day. Since this is such an important job within a growing community like ours, we decided that it’s time that bring someone to lead the support team and optimize their operations. Everyone, meet Lizzy Martin. She’s our new Head of Support and has a personal mission of making life easier for everyone who comes across Creative Market.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do for Creative Market.
I am a midwestern soul with a Cali zip code. I’ve been on the West coast since 2013 but still consider Chicago as my home. I have a passion for marketplaces, design, and creating paths for people to do what they love. As Head of Support for Creative Market, my focus will be on ensuring each user has a voice and help when they need it.
What were you doing before you joined the team and how did you and Creative Market “find each other”?
Prior to Creative Market, I was leading the CX team for another two sided marketplace and community that focused on custom creative services. I was very aware of the high quality products coming out of Creative Market and was a fan of how the platform empowered creators. When the opening came up, I reached out via Angel List and here we are.
When not at work, what do you do for fun?
I am usually reading, writing, camping (or general outdoor being), planning a trip, tv watching, or trying to talk someone into taking me to the Olive Garden (free breadsticks – yum!).
Do you have any go-to music when you’re working?
I’m always switching up my work playlist. Right now, I can’t stop listening to the new Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam record. My usual work favorite is Explosions in the Sky. I also can’t live without the standbys of my youth: Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, The Shins, M. Ward, and The Walkmen. Oh, and I love old school country.
Have you seen any products here on the site that you especially like?
There are some really killer illustrations on Creative Market, but here are a few that I really loved.
What inspires you creatively?
Opportunities to make things a little better everyday and improve myself or what is around me.
