Ghost Drum for Adobe Photoshop is a risograph-inspired brush and color studio made for building loose, layered, analog print effects in a flexible raster workflow. It includes 80 Risograph brushes, curated Ghost Drum palettes, seamless high-resolution paper textures and access to the online Ghost Drum Palette Laboratory for mixing, generating and exporting custom color palettes.

Ghost Drum includes 80 Photoshop brushes built across four distinct Risograph ink categories: Dry Ink, Wet Ink, Absorbed Ink and Pressed Ink.

Each category includes 20 brushes: 10 scalable Risograph brushes from 10 to 100%, plus 10 matching shader brushes from 10 to 100%.

Included Brush Categories

• Dry Ink - Crisp, grainy brushes and shaders with a drier, more broken print texture. Great for gritty fills, rough shading and worn analog print effects.

• **Wet Ink **- Softer, heavier brushes and shaders with more visible ink buildup. Useful for bold color layers, denser marks and richer printed texture.

• Absorbed Ink - Paper-soaked brushes and shaders with a softer, more diffused finish. Ideal for subtle shading, faded print areas and gentle tonal buildup.

• Pressed Ink - Compressed, punchier brushes and shaders with a more stamped mechanical feel. Great for strong overlays, poster-style marks and bold print texture.

Built for Layered Photoshop Color

Ghost Drum works especially well with Photoshop’s layer-based workflow. Build your artwork with separate color layers, use the brushes for rough ink texture and tonal shading and experiment with blend modes for stronger Risograph-style color mixing.

For layered print effects, Linear Burn is often the strongest starting point. Multiply and Overlay can also work well depending on your colors and artwork.

Ghost Drum Palette Laboratory

Your purchase includes access to the online Ghost Drum Palette Laboratory, a web tool for building, previewing and exporting Risograph-style palettes.

• Tri-Color Mixer - Build three-color Risograph palettes, preview ink overlaps, browse the Ghost Drum palette library and export your colors for Photoshop.

• Palette Generator - Generate palettes of 3 to 5 colors using All Colors, Saturated Soft, Vibrant or Gradient Ramp. Lock the colors you like and keep generating the rest.

• 8 Curated Palettes

Ghost Drum includes 8 ready-made palettes built for layered Risograph overlay. Use them as-is, modify them or treat them as launchpads for your own color sets.

• 5 Seamless Paper Textures

The Photoshop Edition includes 5 seamless high-resolution paper textures for adding surface grain, printed softness, background grit and analog finish.

Photoshop is especially strong here because the paper textures can be used as repeating pattern-based textures, letting the grain extend across larger documents, posters and layouts without running out of texture.
