Quick Install (1 minute)

Download the file and unzip the package. Open Adobe Illustrator and make sure the Brushes panel is visible (Window > Brushes). Click the Brush Libraries Menu (the small library icon / “books” at the bottom of the Brushes panel) or open the panel menu (top-right “hamburger” icon). Choose Open Brush Library > Other Library… Select the provided .AI file. A new brush library panel will appear with all brushes.

Install Permanently (recommended)

Find your Illustrator application folder. Go to: Presets > en_US (or your language folder) > Brushes Create a new folder named: Pitt Brushes Move the (brush name).ai file into that folder. Restart Illustrator. Open Window > Brushes, click the Brush Libraries Menu (books icon), and navigate to User Defined / Pitt Brushes to load the library anytime. Tip: keep all your future Pitt brush packs in the same folder so everything stays organized.

How do I install Adobe Illustrator brushes? Use Quick Install to load them in one minute, or Install Permanently to keep them always available. How do I fix vector brush “corner glitching”? Vector brushes stretch vector shapes along a path (they don’t “paint pixels”), so sharp corners or overlapping segments can sometimes create small artifacts. Try these fixes: Lower the Miter Limit Go to Window > Stroke and set Miter Limit to 2 (or another low value). Increase smoothing before drawing Double-click the Paintbrush Tool (B) and move Fidelity toward Smooth. Round the corners In Window > Stroke, set Corner to Round Join (the rounded option). Remove tiny extra segments If a path doubles back and creates a little tail, select it with Direct Selection Tool (A) and delete the extra segment. Draw in smooth arcs Avoid short, jerky strokes—longer, cleaner curves usually produce better results (especially with a tablet).
