Vintage Gothic Blackletter Font No17
About
Introducing CL Antique No.17 – a faithful restoration of an authentic gothic blackletter, straight from the pages of a 19th-century type design book.
Part of the Century Library archive, this typeface brings together sharp, angular forms, delicate curves, and printed textures, all carefully preserved and converted into a working OpenType font. Every character retains the rugged charm and slightly imperfect beauty of early gothic blackletter type, giving your designs a heavy dose of medieval drama with real historical depth.
No modern redraws here. These glyphs stay true to their origins – perfect for designers who want that genuine blackletter look without smoothing away the soul.
Ideal for posters, branding, tattoo designs, album covers, apparel, gothic themes, editorial layouts, or anything that needs a dark, bold, and timeless voice.
