Creative Market March 31, 2021 · 2 min read
In a perfect world, error messages wouldn’t exist, but this Earth is far from perfect. If it’s not Adobe, it’s Apple throwing these frustrating (and sometimes cryptic) messages your way. Why can’t everything just go right? Think of this as therapy: contront your frustrations. Let your anger run free! We’re bringing you the 18 most common error messages every designer dreads. Are we missing any? Leave us a note in the comments!

1. Cool, there goes about 100 hours of work. No big deal.

2. Ugh! Just replace them with anything but Cambria.

3. #goldfishmemoryproblems

4. Well, I’m officially out of ideas…

5. …and officially outdated.

6. **Crickets**

7. The struggle is so very real!

8. I’m begging you! Please don’t make me clear out my Downloads folder right now!

9. Who has time to properly eject?!

10. Simple: new e-mail, new trial.

11. If at first you don’t succeed…

12. Try try again.

13. Font Book, I think you’re overreacting here.

14. Womp

15. Double womp.

16. Update OVERLOAD!

17. Nothing illegal going on here…

  • Majority of these are on a mac, because majority of designers use mac; majority of them are not specifically mac issues. PC can have all the same issues, and have more. 7 years ago

  • Who has time to properly eject?! Nobody. It's the worst requirement of the 21st century. Down with ejecting! I also thought the #17 (banknotes) was really interesting! I've never seen or heard of that - would like to see if I can generate the error myself. XD 7 years ago

  • Second time this article has been posted in the last 4 months with outdated outdated software, outdated screen shots and outdated error messages. It was last posted on Nov 16th. We commented>> Four years ago, Photoshop CS6 was the first version with autosave (13.0). That means someone needs to update. Like · Reply · November 16, 2016 at 1:10pm ^^ This. CM, you are slipping. Even the screen shots in the linked article are years old. from CS6, and what looks like OS X 10.6.8 -- ages ago... I see you deteled the post about being "fresh"?? (refering to a post that CM made about keeping your wrok/blog "fresh") You guys really need to do better if you want more people to read these. Instead of reading them, I just look at the date to see if its from a year+ ago and think as to whether I may have read it back when it was "new" I give this a solid "meh" 5 years ago
