Turn Your Sketches into Digital Art With The Pen Of The Future

Okay, let me get this out of the way now. I’ve never used this thing before, and neither I nor Creative Market have any skin in this game. But holy cow is this concept amazing, and I want it now, so there you go. Now watch the video, and you might want it too:

Here’s how this slice of sorcery works: You take any ‘ol writing device – pen, pencil, heck a crayon, I assume – and fit it with The Ring. Is it the one ring to rule them all? Is a hobbit involved? All Lord Of The Rings jokes aside, you can use use that writing device to draw the heck out of anything you want and do so onto any surface you like, as long as it’s placed on top of The Slate. Now turn on your iPad, open up the Imagink app and watch the magic happen.

I’m not sure if I have to explain what’s so cool about this thing, but just in case, here it goes. Your drawings can go right into your computer. “But Kevin, can’t I do that with a Wacom tablet?” Sure, but no, random person that I made up for this post. For purists, this allows you to still use a pen/pencil and paper, so you still get the feel of graphite/ink running along paper. Plus, you can always keep your sketchbook for later, and then edit the stuff digitally with whatever program you like. Think about using that for rough drafts, logo sketches, or any other creative project you like. I don’t know about you, but to me, that’s amazing.
Now again, we have no skin in this game, so buy it, don’t buy it, we don’t care. But if you do want it, The Ring is $20 and The Slate is $160, so you’re at around $180 for everything.
