Featuring Tropical Grainy Gradient Backgrounds by Youandigraphics
Trends give us a hint of the underlying patterns inspiring creative professionals around the globe. As we’ve mentioned here before, design trends are meant to serve as starting points to kickstart your own creative process. A set of insights to spark a design that is still uniquely yours.
Inspire your perspective as we go over some of this season’s most popular design themes. A detailed overview of Lime Nouveau, our Color of the Season, is also available here.
Dopamine Design
This trend is not for the faint of heart. Dopamine Design is about dialing up color and contrast for the sake of sheer joy. Acid color palettes, quirky illustrations, and a loud touch of whatever-feels-good.
Delicore
A design homage to retro Deli aesthetics in all their glory. Borrowing from fashion’s interest in this look, graphic designers are drawing inspiration from classic deli packaging, menus, patterns, and branding. Nostalgic and urban, Delicore celebrates our peculiar obsessions over certain bagels, sandwiches, and eateries we’ve grown to love.
Surfside
Think once-in-a-lifetime campervan roadtrip. Surfboard ready, food packed, epic spots all mapped out, and not a single worry in the world. You’ve made it a point to fully escape into this moment in time, and it feels exactly like you thought it would: easy, natural, liberating.
Fluid Type
Absolute disregard for typographic symmetry and uniformity. If letterforms suddenly rebelled and came to life, this is what you’d see: fizzy, free-flowing text bursting free from that X-axis. Leveraging the new possibilities of OpenType SVG fonts, plastic, holographic, and chrome textures all make an appearance in Fluid Type.
Festivalia
Concerts are back and so is the quintessential festival look. Here’s a designful take on the desert festivals, shows, and events that we’ve deeply missed over the past couple of years. Psychedelia, eccentricities, and superstition come together to shape Festivalia‘s laid-back look. One good thing about music…
